"We must believe in Rule of Law" , Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju reacts strongly to Delhi CM warning

Union Law Minister of India, Kiren Rijiju reacted to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's warning that he would file appropriate cases against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

In his tweet, Rijiju asked Kejriwal, if he will also file a case against the court if he is convicted. The law minister said everyone must believe in the rule of law in the country. The minister was reacting to Kejiwal's tweet where he said, "We will file appropriate cases against CBI and ED officials for perjury and producing false evidence in courts."

Recently, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the CBI and ED were torturing people to take his and Manish Sisodia's name in the Delhi liquor policy scam case.  He said, "CBI, ED filed false affidavits in excise policy case in court; they're torturing people to testify against Manish Sisodia and me.” He also listed the names of some individuals alleging that they were tortured and beaten.

During the press conference, Kejriwal said that the central agencies presented false evidence in court and tried to mislead the court.

"ED and CBI alleged that Sisodia broke 14 of his mobile phones to destroy evidence, but as per ED's seizure memo, 4 of them are with them while one is with CBI. The rest of the phones are also operational and are being used by different individuals," said Kejriwal
