SCBA organizing All India Advocates Conference on Advocates Protection Act

The Supreme Court Bar Association Executive Committee is organizing the National Conference on Advocates Protection Act on Saturday, 27th January, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at V.K. Krishna Menon Bhawan, Indian Society of International Law” (Opposite Supreme Court), 9 Bhagwan Das Road, New Delhi.

SCBA, Hony. Secretary Rohit Pandey said that Office Bearers of the Bar Council of India, all the Bar Councils across India and officer bearers of all the Bar Associations have been invited to express their views on the issue. All the members of the fraternity would jointly raise their demands for bringing the Act against the exploitation and security of the Advocate before the Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, the Central Government and the Chief Justice of India.

All the office bearers would express their opinion in the conference for better functioning of the system and uplifting the Advocates. Pandey said that some of the States have passed laws on the protection of the advocates but the same is required at the national level. The states which have passed the Bill are still struggling with their implementations. 

He has also invited through “The Law Advice” all the interested people in this regard to support the noble cause.
