The function was also attended by former Chief Justices and present sitting judges of the Rajasthan High Court.

The entire next year would be celebrated as the Platinum Jubilee Celebration Year. Many functions would be organized during the entire year.

Rajasthan High Court was established on 29.08.1949 at Jodhpur and all the High Courts which were run by the then princely states were merged with this. The bench of the High Court at Jaipur was established on 30.01.1977. Before the Rajasthan High Court came into existence, there were five High Courts in Rajasthan i.e. Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur and Alwar which were merged into the present High Court. Maharaja Sawai Singh administered oath to 11 judges on 19.08.1949. The First Chief justice of the Rajasthan High Court was Kamla Kant Verma. When the Constitution came into existence, the number of judges was reduced to 6. In the year 1958 the Bench at Jaipur was closed.

Justice Masih welcomed the CJI with a Safa (Turban) and a sapling. Justice MM Srivastava welcomed Justice Kaul with a Safa and Sapling. Justice Vijay Bishnoi welcomed Justice Surya Kant. Advocate General of Rajasthan Sh. MS Singhvi welcomed Justice S. Ravindra Bhat and Chief Secretary of Rajasthan Usha Sharma welcomed Justice Bela M. Trivedi and AAG Sh. RD Rastogi welcomed Justice Pankaj Mithal.

CJ Masih said Rajasthan is the most colourful state and it is a land of warm people. He said that the Rajasthan High Court has produced a galaxy of people with vast experience who have made remarkable contributions to the development of law.

Justice Mithal addressed the gathering in Hindi and said whenever I think of Rajasthan I find the poem of Poet Sham Narayan Pandey that it is a land of warriors. It is a land where a horse like Chetak is also worshipped. It is an immemorable and big day for Rajasthan. Rajasthan has given many judges at the national level and also at the international level. He also mentioned the strike in his address.

Justice Bela M. Trivedi who also shares a Limca Book of Records of sharing the same court as a judge where her father was also a judge, said it is a landmark function in the history of the Rajasthan High Court. The hospitality of Rajasthan is unbeatable. The rule of law was deeply embedded in the Indian system even during Vedic Times. Dharma was Supreme. Law is the king of Kings.

Justice Trivedi also suggested Lawyers at Jodhpur put an end to the strike observed by them at the end of each month to protest the formation of the bench at Jaipur. Bar and Bench cannot survive without each other. Our Techno Savvy CJI and COVID have brought the age of a hybrid system of hearing. judges can work independently and efficiently only with the cooperation of the Bar. Independent of the Judiciary is the salient feature of our Constitution.

Justice S. Ravindra Bhat said during the function narrated a story from 1930 and said that the judges here are ready to get beheaded but not their integrity. He advocated the use of technology. Rajasthan has 36 judgeships and 353 court complexes and challenges are every day. He also mentioned that Sanganer Open Jail is a model that shall be studied by other stakeholders.

Justice Surya Kant said that 75 years is an age when the torch is to be passed to the next generation. The rich heritage of this High Court is a testament to the relentless pursuit of justice and the rule of law. Arctitechal Marvel do not make an institution exceptional, it is the core value presented therein that defines the institution.

Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul said that the Lawyers shall refrain from going on strike for the smooth functioning of the judicial system. Platinum Jubilee is a time to retrospect the time and work. The backlog of cases is a big burden to the courts throughout the country. The common man stands at the door of the court as a last resort. Respect for judiciary keeps the democracy intact. To combat this speedier justice is the need of time and Alternative Dispute Resolution is required to be adhered to. Mediation is the most viable one.

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud advocated the use of Technology in the legal field. he also emphasized women's empowerment in the judiciary. He told the gathering that Rajasthan is an example of this since the present working strength in the district judiciary in Rajasthan consists of 782 male officers and 562 female officers. This is clearly an indicator of the changing face of India which Rajasthan to my mind portrays so effectively.
