Keeping his side on the plea filed on behalf of Shaheen Abdullah in the Supreme Court, Kapil Sibal said that after the violence, many such programs have taken place, in which the economic social boycott of Muslims has been announced. Kapil Sibal told CJI DY Chandrachud that this is objectionable and that you should intervene.

Kapil Sibal said that what is happening in Gurugram is a very serious matter. There people have been warned in the presence of policemen that if you work in a Muslim shop, you will be called a traitor. That's why we have filed the petition and you must see it at lunchtime.

Recently, an application was filed in the Supreme Court and a demand was made to ban the programs of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. After this, the Supreme Court had said that hate speech should not be given. Along with this, the Supreme Court had asked the administration to do video recording of the programs so that there is complete information about any speech.

A video of 2nd August 2023 was also annexed in the petition filed before the Supreme Court. This video is being said to be of Hisar in Haryana. In this video, shopkeepers and local citizens are being told that if they hire Muslims, they will be boycotted.
