Recently on 12.12.2022 Chief Justice of India Dr. DY Chandrachud inaugurated District Court Digitization Hub in 10 (ten) districts of Odisha virtually in the presence of Orissa High Court Chief Justice S. Murlidhar.

CJI Chandrachud called the work of Digitization undertaken by the Orissa High Court "A Role Model" for courts across India. He also stated that it is the most significant step towards the modernization of the judiciary. He said that digitization, will improve and so will information organization which in turn would lead to reducing time in finding documents.

The CJI also said that e-filing should accompany digitization as it becomes difficult to digitize everything that is filed in the physical form.

Justice Chandrachud had been advocating the filing and digitization of the record since the beginning. He is also head of the e-committee of the Supreme Court and he has been working to improvise digitization for a long time. For a long time, the Court of CJI Chandrachud has been working paperless.
