A rarely angry Chief Justice of India made a strong statement in court “Don’t mess around with my authority,”

The angry CJI DY Chandrachud warned a lawyer yesterday when he mentioned a case for early hearing before the bench presided over by him of which Justices PS Narasimha and JB Pardiwala are members. The CJI, who rarely loses his cool, got irked when the lawyer first sought an early hearing of his case and, after being told that it will be listed on 17th April 2023, asked for liberty to mention it before another bench.

The Chief Justice of India has made a system of mentioning cases by giving listing performs every morning for passing orders of early hearing of cases.
