The Central government on Thursday cleared the appointment of judicial officer Dharmesh Sharma as an additional judge of the Delhi High Court.
An announcement to this effect was made by Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju via his Twitter account.
Sharma's name was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on April 12.
As on April 1, the Delhi High Court which has a sanctioned strength of 60 judges is functioning with 45 judges, a vacancy position of 15.
