Today, the Punjab and Haryana High Court stayed the demolition drive in Haryana District, Nuh, which followed the communal clashes.

The orders were passed by the single-headed bench of Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia until further orders.

It is alleged that the demolition drive to raze the alleged illegal construction has been ongoing in Nuh since August 3, without any prior notice of the demolition.

Demolitition Authorities have demolished over 750 alleged illegal encroachments, including buildings and structures, allegedly belonging to persons involved in communal violence, since the drive began.

Over 350 shanties and 50 cement structures were demolished in the past four days of demolition.
