The Supreme Court of India has amended the Supreme Court Officers and Servants (Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules, 1961 to change the nomenclature/ designation of the post of “JAMADAR” to ‘SUPERVISOR’.
In exercise of the powers conferred by clause(2) of the Article 146 of the Constitution of India, the CJI DY Chandrachud hereby makes the following amendments to the Supreme Court Officers and Servants (Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules. 1961 regarding change of nomenclature/ designation of the posts of Jamadar (Farash) and Jamadar (Safaiwala)
The redesignation was notified by means of a gazetted notification issued on Saturday.
