After Kiren Rijiju had been removed from the law ministry, the Centre on Thursday removed Law Minister of State Prof S P Baghel to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

This appeared to be necessary after Arjun Ram Meghwal was made the Minister of State with Independent charge of the Ministry of Law and Justice.

A Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said President Droupadi Murmu, as advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been pleased to direct that "Prof S P Singh Baghel, Minister of State be assigned as Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in place of Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice." 

Law Minister Kiren Rijiju was removed today in the early hours as Law minister. As per the discussion, Kiren Rijiju has been punished for his outspoken behavior toward the judges and judiciary.

Who is Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel?

SP Singh Baghel was earlier a member of the Samajwadi Party, but he was expelled from the party, from where he joined the BSP. Later, disenchanted with the BSP too, he made the BJP his abode. Presently BJP MP from Agra Professor SP Singh Baghel was Union Minister of State for Law in Modi Government 2.0.

Now SP Singh Baghel on Thursday was announced as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
