Today, the Enforcement Directorate told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that in the Delhi Excise Policy case, K. Kavita will not be summoned till November 20.
The divison bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia asked Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, appearing for the ED, not to call him in the meantime.

Earlier, ED's summons has been challenged by Kavita in the Supreme Court.
During today's hearing, Chaudhary reiterated his concerns, in response to which, Justice Kaul told the ED's counse, "We will have to hear the matter. In the meantime, don't call her for questioning."
Notably, the judge also observed -
"You cannot say that a woman cannot be called for questioning at all, as a witness or in whatever capacity. There has to be some safeguards...There are cases of abuse of law, and there are cases of a different kind. So, there is no one common thread."
Back in March, ED questioned Telangana Chief Minister KCR's daughter K Kavitha.
According to online sources, ED has summoned more than a dozen people in this case. On March 20, summons were issued to Kavita by ED, during which Kavita said that she has filed a petition in the Supreme Court, but it is still pending, due to which she did not appear before the agency.
