Supreme Court Lawyer and Mediator Sadhana Ramachandran Passes Away

Sadhana Ramachandran, a distinguished lawyer and mediator, passed away on August 1. She was actively practicing at the Supreme Court of India and was recognized for her exceptional skills as a mediator in both domestic and international disputes.

Her notable achievements include receiving the "Outstanding Mediation Expert Award (Female) 2023." She was also the wife of Senior Advocate Raju Ramachandran.

Sadhana Ramachandran was appointed as one of the interlocutors by a Supreme Court bench led by Justices S.K. Kaul and K.M. Joseph.

She was tasked with engaging in discussions with the Shaheen Bagh protesters, who were opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019, with the aim of addressing the issue of road closures resulting from the protests.

She was also one of the trustees of The Supreme Court Lawyers Welfare Trust (SCLWT).
