The Supreme Court of India is going to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology driven by Natural Language Processing for live transcription of its hearings for the first time.
The Supreme Court has used the function of Live transcription on an experimental basis today at 10:30 AM in the courtroom of Chief Justice of India Dr. DY Chandrachud.
The case related to Maharastra's Shiv-sena issue would be the first case to be transcribed. The CJI is heading the Constitution Bench which is hearing the case.
There is a screen displaying the live transcription of court proceedings has been placed in Court Room 1, facing the lawyers. It is also understood that the Supreme Court will make transcripts of oral arguments available on its website.
