Supreme Court Decisions in Hindi also: CJI said "soon the decisions of the court will be available in other languages also"; Prime Minister praised

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised CJI DY Chandrachud in his Tweet. The CJI had said that "soon copies of the decisions of the Supreme Court would be available in Hindi and other languages of the country". Regarding this, PM Modi said that "this is a very good idea, which will help many people, especially the youth".

The CJI Chandrachud, who arrived in Mumbai on Saturday to attend the program of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa (BCMG), had indicated translating the court's decisions into other languages through Artificial Intelligence (AI). He said that with this the people living in the villages would be able to easily get information about the decisions in their own language. He had earlier said – "Courts should be paperless, this is my mission".

CJI Chandrachud also said, "do not cover the flaws of the system, bring them to the fore."

Chief Justice Chandrachud said that "we do not need to cover the flaws of our system. We should try to repair it by bringing it to the fore". He stressed on the use of technology to remove the difficulties faced in getting court related information.

The Chief Justice also insisted on live-streaming of court proceedings. He said that teachers and students interested in law can watch, understand and discuss any case through live-streaming. When you discuss an issue live, you get to know how much injustice is happening in the society.

The CJI said that the country's court system is built for the people and the system cannot be above the individual. Addressing the young lawyers who reached the program, he said that "I would wish that you fly high and make your dreams come true".

Opportunities should not be for special people, it is necessary to give opportunity to all

Emphasizing on social gathering in the court, the CJI said, "The more opportunities are given to young and new lawyers, the more prosperous will be the legal profession. We should not limit opportunity to certain people, for this, it is necessary to give opportunity to lawyers from marginalized communities. He said, "I listen to young lawyers daily for half an hour in the Supreme Court, it shows the pulse of the country".

Justice Chandrachud also launched the News-Views channel of BCMG. News-views is the country's first council news channel. He also released the Civil and Criminal Practice Handbook prepared by BCMG for young lawyers. A copy of this handbook will be provided free of cost to 50,000 young lawyers.

The function was also attended by Justice BR Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Acting Chief Justice of Bombay High Court SV Gangapurwala.
