Supreme Court Collegium recommends 9 names for 5 High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium headed by the Chief Justice of India Dr. DY Chandrachud of which Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and KM Joseph are members has recommended 9 (nine) names for the appointment of judges in 5 High Courts including judicial officers and advocates.

The names are as under:-

1. Manipur High Court- Judicial officers- (i) Shri Aribam Guneshwar Sharma, and (ii) Mrs. Golmei Gaiphulshillu Kabui

2. Andhra Pradesh High Court- Judicial Officers- (i) Smt. P. Venkata Jyothirmai, and (ii) Shri V. Gopalakrishna Rao

3.  Gauhati High Court- Judicial Officer- Shri Mridul Kumar Kalita

4. Bombay High Court- Advocate- Smt. Neela Kedar Gokhale

5. Karnataka High Court- Advocate- Shri Nagendra Ramachandra Naik and Judicial Officers - (i)  Shri Ramachandra Dattatray Huddar, and (ii) Shri Venkatesh Naik Thavaryanaik.

It is noteworthy that the SC Collegium has recommended the name of Nagendra Ramachandra Naik for the third time.
