The Central Government has appointed Sr. Adv. ARL Sundaresan new Addl. Solicitor General of India for the Madras High Court by a notification.
By the notification issued on Friday, the present ASG for Madras High Court R. Sankaranarayanan has been promoted to ASG for the entire Southern zone. Sankaranarayanan was appointed ASG for Madras High Court in June 2020.
Both Sundaresan and Sankarnarayan would have a tenure of three years in their respective posts.
The newly appointed ASG Sundaresan is the son of former Supreme Court judge AR Lakshmanan. He had also remained President of Madras Bar Associaion.
