Today, during the hearing, the Supreme Court of India refused to grant bail to IAS Pooja Singhal, suspended in corruption and money laundering case.

The court has scheduled the next hearing in this case on December 1. Currently Pooja Singhal is undergoing treatment at RIMS. After not getting bail from the High Court, Pooja Singhal has filed a petition in the Supreme Court asking for bail.

In the said matter, ED had first registered a case against dismissed engineer Ram Binod Prasad Sinha on December 12, 2018. He is accused of fraud of Rs 18 crore 76 lakh related to the MNREGA scheme of Khunti District Council.

During this investigation, Pooja Singhal's name came up. Later, during the ED raid, around Rs 19 crore was recovered from the house of CA Suman Kumar. After this Pooja Singhal and Suman Kumar were arrested.
