SC dismisses plea against UP CM Yogi Adityanath

A petition against UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been dismissed by the honourable Supreme Court in the case of remarks made on Lord Hanuman in Alwar, Rajasthan. The Apex court division bench of Justices BR Gavai and Vikram Nath dismissed the petition to register the complaint.

The petition was dismissed terming it a publicity stunt. The petition was filed by Naval Kishore. The petition was filed challenging the decision of the Allahabad High Court. In March last year, The district and sessions judge of Mau had issued a notice to Yogi Adityanath for allegedly terming Lord Hanuman a Dalit in his speech at Alwar in 2018 for which a complaint was filed.

Yogi Adityanath was represented by Senior Advocate Mukul Rohtagi.
