Right to Sight: Would it be included in fundamental right: Rajasthan becomes the first state to implement policy

With the implementation of the "Right to Sight" policy, by the State of Rajasthan, a new discussion has started if the same would be included in the fundamental rights under the preview of the right to live a healthy life.

In India, Rajasthan becomes the first State to implement a policy to control blindness with the objective of ensuring the same right.

Right to Sight was launched in 1999 by the World Health Organization and the Internation Agency for Prevention of Blindness. It started promoting "A world in which nobody is needlessly visually impaired, where those with unavoidable vision loss can achieve their full potential.

Recently the Chief Justice of India had formed a committee to make the Supreme Court premises visually challenged people friendly.

It would be a great time to see "Right to see the world" a fundamental right empowering lacs of people to see the world.
