Madras HC Mandates Mandatory Implementation of Hybrid Hearings via VC Mode Across District Judiciary

Starting February 5th, 2024, the Madras High Court has mandated the adoption of hybrid hearings conducted via video conferencing across the district judiciary in the state.

In a notification released by the Registrar General of the Madras High Court, it was stated that the compulsory implementation of hybrid hearings through video conferencing has been officially communicated following approval from the Chief Justice. The notification also encourages legal practitioners to make use of this facility across all jurisdictions and emphasizes their cooperation for the effective implementation of this new system.

''The High Court, Madras, upon approval of the Hon’ble The Chief Justice hereby notifies that the facility of hearing cases through Hybrid VC mode is mandated for the District Judiciary with effect from February 5, 2024.''
