The constitutional bench of the Supreme Court began hearing on February 15 for the second day on the tussle between the two Shiv Sena factions. The 5-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud also included Justice MR Shah, Justice Krishna Murari, Justice Hima Kohli and Justice PS Narasimha.

At the same time, senior advocate Kapil Sibal is appearing on behalf of the Uddhav Thackeray group, while advocate Harish Salve is arguing on behalf of the current Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde. During the hearing on 15 February, Harish Salve started arguing. During this, senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for Uddhav Thackeray, forgot to switch off his mic and started discussing something with his junior.

Harish Salve interrupted Sibal and said that 'I can hear Mr. Sibal's voice because his mic is on... I am listening to what he has to say to his junior. On this, Sibal said that I am not telling any secret of the government…. To which Harish Salve said – well till now…."

Amidst this conversation between Kapil Sibal and Harish Salve, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud remarked that 'He (Sibal) is only giving warnings…'.

Let us tell you that during the hearing on the first day (February 14) there were many light-hearted incidents. Kapil Sibal started reading something written on a paper. So CJI Chandrachud interrupted him that what are you reading on the paper? To this Sibal replied that I am still trying to learn and allow me to use hybrid material. On this, Chief Justice Chandrachud (Justice DY Chandrachud) said with a smile that 'If you want, I can organize a training session for you again...'.
