The Sessions Court, Kalaburgi, Karnataka has granted bail to alleged kingpin and BJP Leader Divya Hagargi and 25 others in connection with sensational PSI recruitment scam. Sessions Judge KB Patil passed the order granting bail to Hagargi and other accused Manjunath Melakundi and Dy. S.P. Mallikarjuna and 23 others. 

Till date, the court has granted bail to a total of 36 accused persons in connection with the same offense. 

The 26 persons who have been granted bail by the sessions court also include eight candidates, five examination invigilators, and three policemen.

It is also noteworthy that the Government of Karnataka has announced re-examination for the 545 PSI candidates after the scam was opened.
