The Bar Association elections for Jaisalmer District Court were held for the first time in 55 years of history on 08th December 2023.

For the first time in its 55 years of history, Jaisalmer Bar Association elections are being held in the border district Jaisalmer. Before this, officials always got elected unopposed on all the posts. Due to the elections being held for the first time, all the advocates are celebrating today as Advocates' Election Day (अधिवक्ता मताधिकार दिवस).

Election Officer Advocate Mohammad Nasir said that in the elections of Bar Association Jaisalmer, candidates faced each other for all the posts and the voting process took place very smoothly. Counting of votes took place last evening and election results were declared.

Indra Singh was elected as President of the Bar Association. There was a tie for the post of Secretary and Gagan Khan was elected through a lottery system.
