Himachal government approaches Supreme Court in CPS case, files transfer petition

Recently, Himachal state government approaches the Supreme Court in the CPS case. The government has filed an application in the Supreme Court to hear the CPS case. The government has filed two transfer petitions in the Supreme Court requesting transfer of the case from the High Court. The government's transfer petition will be heard in the Supreme Court today.

Senior advocate Satyapal Jain, who is representing BJP MLA Satpal Singh Satti and others in the High Court in the case, said that the government has filed a transfer petition. He is going to Delhi to plead the case.

It is noteworthy that at present six CPS have been deployed by the government in the state. They have also been attached with the ministers as per the rules. BJP MLA Satpal Singh Satti and some others have challenged the appointment of CPS in the High Court.

The hearing of this case is to be held in the High Court on Saturday 4 November. BJP MLA Satpal Singh Satti has challenged the appointment of CPS in the High Court, calling it an office of profit.
