Gyanvapi | Petitioners Call for Installation of Bell and Puja Materials in Gyanvapi Mosque's Vyas ka 'Tehkhana'

Following the Varanasi District Court's directive regarding the Gyanvapi Mosque, the petitioner called for the installation of bells and Puja materials in the Gyanvapi Mosque's Vyas ka 'Tehkhana the designated area where prayers are conducted.

Sanchit Rastogi, a textile businessman based in Kashi, has acquired a bell and other puja materials. Following the prescribed legal procedures, he intends to meet the receiver of Gyanvapi, namely the District Magistrate, with the assistance of his lawyer Sudhir Tripathi. During this meeting, they will formally request the installation of the puja materials in the temple.

"After the puja started, we will hand over the bell and arti materials to the District Magistrate. Since he is the receiver, he should get these things installed as per the right arrangement so that they can be used daily during the puja. We believe that when the Aarti is being performed, then it is important to have proper materials." According to Sudhir Tripathi, the lawyer representing the Hindu side, the next step involves obtaining approval from the District Magistrate (DM). Once the DM grants permission, they plan to proceed with the installation of the bell within the complex.

"We have discovered symbols of 'Damru' and 'Trishul,' indicative of our Lord Shiva, in the evidence. Consequently, our plan is to install a bell in the 'Tehkhana,' where the worship has commenced. We are strictly adhering to legal procedures, and we believe that obtaining permission for this is integral to religious observance," Rekha Pathak, a petitioner in the Gyanvapi Shringaar Gauri case, stated.

The court has provided an extension until February 6 for the Masjid Intezamia Committee of the Gyanvapi Mosque to revise its pleadings. This revision is intended to encompass a challenge to an order issued on January 17, which subsequently led to the passing of the order on January 31.
