Recently, the Government of India has announced a vacancy circular for the selection of Members for the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC).
Applications are now being invited for two anticipated vacancies at the commission, which serves as the apex consumer dispute resolution body under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the post must meet the qualifications prescribed under the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021. According to the guidelines:

Eligible candidates must submit their applications online through the official website (https://jagograhakjago.gov.in/ncdrc) by April 23, 2025.
Government officers and officials from PSUs or autonomous bodies are required to submit a signed copy of the application via their respective channels.
Retired officials are required to submit a "No Inquiry Certificate" from their last employer. Applications that are incomplete or submitted after the deadline will be summarily rejected.
General Conditions
No travel or daily allowances will be provided for interviews.
The Department of Consumer Affairs reserves the right to cancel or amend the vacancy notification without prior notice.
Selected candidates must resign or opt for voluntary retirement from their existing posts before assuming the role at NCDRC.
