Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave has questioned the Telangana High Court's decision to transfer the case related to alleged horse-trading of Telangana MLAs to the CBI. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, Advocate Dushyant Dave said that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is a regional party and is fighting a national party which is trying to destabilize our government. The accused in this case has himself accepted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has toppled the governments of 8 states in this manner. There is evidence against him, so he does not want the state police to investigate the matter.
In the Supreme Court, a bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice Arvind Kumar was hearing the case. In this case, the Telangana Police has approached the Supreme Court against the High Court's decision to transfer the case to the CBI and Dushyant Dave was appearing on behalf of the Telangana Police.
Dushyant Dave said in during his argument that how can the BJP investigate the matter? BJP is in power at the center and there are allegations against BJP. CBI comes inside BJP. Responding to this argument of Dushyant Dave, Justice BR Gavai said that on this side even the SIT will come under the same party which is in power in the state. On this, Dushyant Dave argued that the state police has full authority to investigate the matter as it is within its jurisdiction.
Senior advocate Dushyant Dave also rejected the BJP's claim that the Telangana government was interfering in the investigation. Dave said that all the three accused in the case - Ramchandra Bharti alias Satish Sharma, Nandu Kumar and Singhayaji Swamy were caught red-handed while offering BRS MLAs to join BJP. We didn't invite them. He himself approached our MLA and got caught in the trap. Dave said that we have 5 hours of video recording as evidence.
Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave has accused the Central Government of using agencies like CBI and ED to harass its political opponents and said that this is the reality, and one cannot turn a blind eye to it. On the other hand, senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani appeared on behalf of the BJP in the matter. Now the Supreme Court will hear this matter after the Holi holiday.
On October 26, Tandur Assembly MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy lodged an FIR, alleging that three people met him and asked him not to contest as a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) candidate and join the BJP. Offered. Pilot claimed in his FIR that he was offered Rs 100 crore and was also told that criminal cases would be filed against him if he did not accept it.
