Today, the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted regular bail to former CM N Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development case.
Earlier, Naidu is on interim bail till 28 November.
Earlier in October, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief was granted conditional interim bail for four weeks on health grounds. His lawyers informed the court that Naidu needed bail to undergo cataract surgery.
The court had directed Naidu to pay a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh. Apart from this, the court had also ordered the TDP chief to provide the details of his treatment and the hospital where he was treated to the Central Jail Superintendent in a sealed cover at the time of surrender.
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who had been in Rajahmundry central prison since September 10 following his arrest by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the multi-crore skill development corporation scam, was granted a four-week interim bail by the high court on medical grounds. His arrest occurred a day after the CID detained him, and subsequently, he was remanded to judicial custody by the Special Court for the ACB cases in Vijayawada.
