Demolition affecting 5000 persons stayed by the Supreme Court in Uttrakhand's Haldawani

The Bench comprised of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Abhay S. Oka after hearing the affected persons and the Government stayed the order of the Uttrakhand High Court which had directed the demolition of houses, temples, mosques, shops and literally affecting about 5000 persons. 

The Uttrakhand High court had passed an order of demolition stating that it is railways land and has been encroached by these people. The case was mentioned yesterday before the Chief Justice of India and had directed this case to be listed today.
