On Thursday, the Delhi High Court rejected a request to delay the Delhi Judicial Services Prelims exams for 2023.
Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Mini Pushkarna, presiding over a Division Bench, dismissed the petition filed by Vishal Yadav, citing a previous dismissal of a similar petition by a coordinate bench.
Yadav approached the High Court, asserting that the dates for the Delhi Judicial Services (DJS) Prelims exams overlap with the UPSC's Combined Recruitment Test. Consequently, Yadav sought the postponement of the DJS exams.
The Combined Recruitment Test serves as an entry exam for multiple legal positions. Both the DJS and Combined Recruitment Tests are slated to occur on December 17.
Justices Yashwant Varma and Tushar Rao Gedela, on December 7, had previously dismissed a comparable plea.
The Court highlighted that the DJS exams had already undergone a prior postponement, indicating the impracticality of rescheduling it once more.
