Delhi Court to rule on March 2: Police Seek Complaint Cancellation Against Ex-WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Singh

The Delhi court is expected to deliver its verdict on March 2 regarding the acceptance of a police report seeking the cancellation of a complaint filed by a minor wrestler against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, accusing him of sexual harassment.

Scheduled to deliver the order on Thursday, Additional Sessions Judge Chhavi Kapoor has indicated a need for further clarifications in the matter before reaching a decision.

Seven women wrestlers, including a minor, have alleged Brij Bhushan of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation.

On June 15, 2023, the Delhi Police submitted a report to the court, requesting the cancellation of the case filed by the girl.

The request for the closure of the case was submitted following the girl's father's assertion that she had filed the complaint against Singh due to a perceived injustice done to her.
