The bail application of AAP leader Manish Sisodia, who was arrested in connection with the alleged excise scam money laundering case, will be heard by a Delhi court on March 2.
After recently granting a three-day interim bail to the politician, Special Judge M K Nagpal adjourned the matter upon noting that there is a pending application related to the case before the Supreme Court.
“I will take up the matter on March 2,” the judge said.
On February 21, the judge granted interim bail to Sisodia, specifically to enable him to attend his niece's wedding.
On February 26 of last year, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Sisodia on charges of corruption related to the formulation and execution of the Delhi Excise Policy 2021–22, which has since been discontinued. Subsequently, on March 9, while Sisodia was in judicial custody at Tihar jail, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested him in connection with the associated money laundering case.
