A court on Sunday ordered a 14-day judicial custody for the owner and coordinator of Rau's IAS Study Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar, following the deaths of three civil services aspirants due to flooding in its basement.

The coaching center's owner, Abhishek Gupta, and coordinator, Deshpal Singh, were presented before a magistrate, who issued the remand order.

The police have filed an FIR under sections 105 (culpable homicide), 106(1) (causing death by rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide), 115(2) (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), and 290 (negligent conduct regarding construction) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
