Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar termed the remark of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi "inappropriate" on 22nd December 2022 who said that the government is seeking to deligitimise the judiciary and urged the political leaders not to subject high constitutional offices to partisan stances.

Vice President also said that Gandhi's statement was for distanced from his reflections as delegitimize the judiciary is beyond his contemplation. 

Mrs. Sonia Ganshi on 21st December accused the Centre Government of making a calculated attempt to delegitimize the judiciary. Ministers and even a high constitutional authority have been enlisted to make speeches atacking the judiciary on various gounds.
