The Consortium of National Law Universities is now accepting applications for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. This prestigious examination serves as the entry point for undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at 24 National Law Universities (NLUs) and other participating institutes throughout India.

The registration period began on July 15, 2024, and will remain open until October 15, 2024. The CLAT 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on December 1, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The CLAT 2025 is a 2-hour examination for undergraduate candidates, featuring 120 multiple-choice questions, each worth 1 mark. A penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The test evaluates proficiency in the English language, current affairs, general knowledge, logical reasoning, legal reasoning, and quantitative techniques. For postgraduate candidates, the exam comprises a comprehensive paper covering constitutional law, jurisprudence, family law, criminal law, property law, administrative law, contract law, tort law, company law, public international law, tax law, environmental law, and labour and industrial law.

 The participating NLUs for CLAT 2025 include two premier institutes situated in Madhya Pradesh i.e., NLIU Bhopal and DNLU Jabalpur. Both the institutes offer reservation to the students with Madhya Pradesh domicile and state scholarship benefits to the students. Other esteemed institutions like NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLU Jodhpur, GNLU Gandhinagar, GNLU, Silvassa Campus, RMLNLU Lucknow, CNLU Patna, NUSRL Ranchi, HNLU Raipur, RGNUL Punjab, DBRANLU Haryana, NUALS Kochi, NLUO Odisha, NLUJA Assam, DSNLU Visakhapatanam, TNNLU Tiruchirappalli, MNLU Mumbai, MNLU Nagpur, MNLU Aurangabad, HPNLU Shimla, and NLUT Agartala, etc also participate in CLAT 2025.
