Hearing a petition related to giving the status of fundamental right to virtual hearing, a bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice PS Narasimha and Justice JB Pardiwala, on not using the facility of virtual hearing and e-court properly Expressed strong displeasure and said that you cannot use public money unnecessarily in this way.
CJI DY Chandrachud said that I know that some High Court Chief Justices are ending the facilities that were made for Virtual Hearing. I am very sad about this.
Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said that it is very disturbing that some High Court Chief Justices are distancing themselves from technology. It doesn't matter whether you are technology friendly or not. Public money cannot be used unnecessarily in this way. The CJI said that the problem is that some Chief Justices like technology and some don't, but you should learn everything.
Chief Justice Chandrachud said that some Chief Justices argue that if we come to the court then why can't the lawyers come. They should understand that the working conditions of a judge and a lawyer are completely different.
The Central Government has recently approved a fund of Rs 7000 crore for the e-courts project. Chief Justice Chandrachud (Justice DY Chandrachud) also mentioned this thing and said that the parliamentary committee had come to the Supreme Court and I myself had put the whole matter in front of them for 3 hours. Funds were allocated on the basis of that. Now it is the responsibility of the Chief Justice of the High Court to take it further.
