Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud visited the Mata Vaishno Temple in the Katra region of Jammu and Kashmir. He visited the holy cave of the Goddess and worshiped in the sanctum sanctorum. This is Justice Chandrachud's first visit to Vaishno Devi after assuming the office of CJI.
The official spokesperson of the Shrine Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Ashul Garg welcomed said on reaching Katra. The Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Courts Shri Justice N. Kotiswar Singh also accompanying the CJI. The CEO apprised everyone about the continuous initiatives being taken by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board under the chairmanship of J&K Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha to improve the infrastructure in view of the increasing number of pilgrims visiting the holy cave day by day.
CJI Chandrachud appreciated the efforts being initiated by the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board to provide facilities for the welfare of the visiting pilgrims and to make their pilgrimage hassle-free. After offering prayers at the holy cave shrine, the CJI visited Bheron Baba Temple to worship.
