Central Government notified transfer of Justice Pankaj Mittal as Chief of Rajasthan high Court

The Government of India has notified the transfer of Chief Justice Pankaj Mittal from the J&K High Court to the Rajasthan High Courton at the recommendation of the Supreme Court collegium on 28th September 2022.

The post of Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court was lying vacant after the retirement of former Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court Sh. S.S. Shinde on 01st August, 2022. Justice Mittal would be the 40th Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.

Born in 1961, Justice Mittal graduated from Allahabad University in 1982 and obtained a Degree of LLB in 1985. He started practice in Allahabad High Court in 1985 and he was elevated as Addl. Judge of Allahabad High Court in 2006 and then appointed as Chief Justice of Jammu& Kashmir and Ladakh High Court in December 2020.
