The Bar Council of Delhi has issued a list of 23 fake lawyers. The notification says that "It is hereby notified for general Information that under the Proviso to Section 26(1) of the Advocates Act, 1961 Orders passed by the Sub-Committee of the Bar Council of India and ratified by the General Council of the Bar Council of India on the dates as mentioned against name of each Advocate, the name of the under mentioned Advocates have been removed from the Roll of the Bar Council of Delhi due to their LL.B Degree/Mark Sheet reported to be Fake/Forged by their concerned University."

Similarly, the Bar Council of Delhi had issued a list in Dec, 2022 of 117 lawyers who were found to be fake lawyers. 117 Fake Lawyers identified by Bar Council of Delhi
