AOR Association opposes Adjournment Circular of Supreme Court

The Registry of the Supreme Court issued a circular terminating the circulation of the adjournment slip/letter system which is strongly opposed by the Supreme Court Advocates on Record Association (SCAORA).

The Circular issued by the Supreme Court brought to an end the system of circulating Adjournment Slip with immediate effect.

Sachin Sharma, Joint Treasurer of SCAORA, told the TLA Network, that it has been resolved to vehemently oppose the implementation of the aforesaid circular which discontinues the well-established practice of circulating letters in the best interest of the litigants and for the convince of the Hon'ble judges.

The absence of prior notice may result in an unfair burden over the lawyers for an unprepared matter, especially in view of the present sudden and faulty listing of the matters by the registry.
