Allahabad High Court Automates Allocation: 225 New Judges Assigned to UP Districts via Software

For the very first time, the Allahabad High Court has utilized a software program to autonomously allocate 225 newly recruited civil judges (junior division) to various districts in Uttar Pradesh. This process was executed without any manual intervention in the generation of the allocation list.

The Registrar of the High Court issued a press release stating that the allocation of all positions was facilitated through the 'Automatic District Allocation System,' an in-house developed software.

Additionally, the approach aims to eradicate human involvement in the assignment of posting stations, as highlighted in the statement.

"The single-click generation of the allocation list was successfully done in the august presence of Acting Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta while sitting in consultation with the senior judge of the High Court, Justice Anjani Kumar Mishra, who also chairs the computerization committee of the High Court," the press release stated.
