The High Court of Allahabad has approved anticipatory bail for Umar Ansari, the son of Mukhtar Ansari, a politician with a background in organized crime. This case is related to a speech delivered by Umar Ansari's brother, Abbas Ansari, who is the MLA representing Mau, during the election campaign.

When granting anticipatory bail to Umar Ansari, Justice Samit Gopal ordered the state government to submit its counter-affidavit within a period of 10 days. The case has been scheduled for the next hearing on November 30.
