Adipurush: 'Make a documentary on Quran then watch it', Allahabad High Court strict on Adipurush

The High Court has reprimanded the makers of the film 'Adipurush' directed by Om Raut. The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, while hearing the petitions seeking a ban on the film, said, "You people spare the religious texts." Along with this, the court has asked the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as well as the Central Board of Film Certification to file personal affidavits in response to the petition. The court also said that you make a documentary on Quran, then see what happens.

The division bench of Justices Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Sriprakash Singh said, "you people should not even touch the Quran, the Bible. Let me make it clear that do not touch any religion. Don't misrepresent any religion. Court has no religion. Our only concern is that the law and order situation should be maintained."

While commenting orally, Justice Chauhan said that the job of filmmakers is only to earn money. Justice Chauhan said, make a small documentary about Quran, in which it is wrongly shown, then see what can happen. However, let me clear once again that this is not about any one religion. It is a coincidence that this matter is related to Ramayana, otherwise the court belongs to all religions.

The court asked what do you want to teach to the new generation? Many characters of Ramayana are worshiped and how they are shown in the film. According to India Today's report, a judge said that many people told him that they were hurt by the film. There were some people who could not watch the entire film. Those who believe in Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Hanuman ji could not watch this film.

The court made a stern remark and said, "If we keep our mouth shut today, we know what will happen." I had seen a film in which Lord Shankar was shown running with a trishul in a funny way. Will all this be shown now? Filmmakers earn money when the film runs. This is happening again and again. The producer will have to come to the court this time. This is not a joke.

The court also slammed the Central Board of Film Certification, which cleared the film. Deputy Solicitor General of India SB Pandey told the court that the film was certified by serious members of the Censor Board. On this, the bench pointed to the Censor Board members and said, "You are saying that people with culture have certified this film, where Ramayana has been shown like this, then those people are also blessed."

The court further said, those who are straight people should be suppressed? it's just that? It is good that it is about such a religion, whose followers did not create any chaos. We should be grateful for this. We saw in the news that some people went to the cinema and they only asked to close the hall, they could have done something else.

According to the report of Live Law, the court said, if we close our eyes on this because it is known that the people of this religion are very tolerant, then will its test be taken.

The bench wondered what came into the mind of the makers of Adipurush that they thought of making such a film. The bench remarked, does anyone imagine that our religious characters would have been like they are shown in the film? Do we imagine our God to be like this from the costumes the characters wear in the film? Ramcharitmanas is so holy that people leave home after reciting it and you show it in such a useless way.
