A single bench of the Rajasthan High Court comprising of Justice Chandra Kumar Songara granted bail to the then Additional SP of SOG, Divya Mittal, who was in judicial custody for demanding a bribe of Rs 2 crore from the owner of the pharmaceutical company in lieu of helping in the case registered in the SOG.
The ACB arrested Mittal on 16th January 2023 and she was sent to Judicial Custody on 21st January. In the bail application, she stated that the ACB had neither arrested her while taking bribes nor recovered any amount from her. There is no concrete evidence against her.
As per the complaint ASP Divya reached the pharmaceutical company of the complainant in Haridwar. After going there, she told the complainant that three cases of psychotropic drugs have been registered against him in Ajmer. His factory's medicines are also included in the medicines seized. Hearing this, the complainant was horrified. After this, Divya had demanded a bribe of two crore rupees through her broker to remove her name from the case by threatening in the case of NDPS Act.
After receiving the complaint, the ACB arrested the ASP and his broker by laying a trap. Ajmer SOG office, flat in Ajmer, resort in Udaipur, flat in Jaipur, check documents in Chidawa's house. The ACB team got many important documents from these places.
