SCAORA Launches Help Desk to Assist Members on SC Practice and Procedures

The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA) has established a Help Desk to support its members with both procedural and substantive aspects of Supreme Court practice.

This help desk is managed by experienced Advocates on Record (AORs), the Help Desk will provide guidance on various matters, including filing deadlines, case preparation, and court procedures.

In a letter to the Secretary General of the Supreme Court, Mr. Nikhil Jain, Honorary Secretary of SCAORA, informed the Judges about the launch of a new initiative. Inspired by the judges' valuable suggestions, this initiative is designed to be a crucial resource for all Advocates-on-Record (AORs).

The letter further emphasized that the initiative would be particularly beneficial for newly enrolled AORs as they begin their legal careers. By offering guidance on navigating the complexities of Supreme Court practice and helping them avoid common pitfalls, the Help Desk aims to provide essential support.

Located in the SCAORA office, it operates twice a month—on the first and third Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Additionally, AORs can seek assistance via phone or email. SCAORA encourages all AORs to make use of this facility and leverage the collective experience of the legal fraternity.
