SC gives big relief to former SSP Rajjit Hundal, dismissed in drugs racket case, bail application accepted

Former SSP Rajjit Hundal, dismissed in the Drug Racket Case, has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has accepted the anticipatory bail application filed on his behalf in the drug case.

Earlier, the High Court had rejected his bail plea in August and after which he approached the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court has also issued a notice to the Punjab Government in this matter. 

The Supreme Court has ordered Rajjeet to appear before the IO daily. It is noteworthy that Rajjit Singh Hundal is absconding.

The Special Court of Mohali has declared him a fugitive. Look out notice has also been issued against him.

Kapil Sibal appeared in the court on behalf of Hundal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi appeared in the court on behalf of the Punjab government.
