SC Collegium recommends additional judges of Karnataka High Court to be made permanent

On Thursday, Supreme Court Collegium recommended two additional judges of the Karnataka High Court be made permanent judges.

As per the Collegium resolution, Justices Anant Ramanath Hegde and Kannankuzhyil Sreedharan Hemalekha have been recommended to be made permanent.

Further, Justice Siddaiah Rachaiah has been recommended for a fresh one-year term as additional judge with effect from November 8, 2023

The High Court Collegium had made recommendations to make all three judges permanent.

The Karnataka Chief Minister and the Governor of Karnataka concurred with the recommendation.
