Protest against clash between police and lawyers in Hapur, Allahabad HC lawyers on strike today

In the case of police lathi charge on lawyers in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, the lawyers of Allahabad High Court will protest today.

During this, the lawyers of Allahabad High Court will boycott the judicial work. According to the information, apart from Allahabad, the lawyers of Lucknow bench will also be on strike. It is being told that Allahabad High Court Bar Association and Awadh Bar Association have taken this decision in a virtual meeting.

During the virtual meeting, the office bearers of the High Court Bar Association have condemned the lathi charge by the police. The High Court Bar Association has demanded strict action against the guilty policemen from the Uttar Pradesh government. Along with this, the High Court Bar Association has said that the Advocates Protection Act should be implemented so that no such incident can happen in the future.

At present, due to the police lathi charge on the lawyers, along with the High Court, the lawyers of many districts will also not work today. President of Allahabad High Court Bar Association, Ashok Singh has given information about abstaining from judicial work. Along with this, Bar Association Treasurer Ashish Mishra has also condemned the incident and appealed to the UP Bar Council to take an appropriate decision.

In the matter, the UP Bar Council has issued a press note condemning the incident. The Bar Council has demanded the transfer of all the police personnel involved in the incident, including the Hapur SP, and action should be taken against them. Bar Council President Shivkumar Gaur and senior member Amarendra Nath Singh have also demanded registration of FIR against the guilty police personnel.

For which the police registered a case against the woman advocate and her father. Opposing this, the advocates blocked Tehsil Chopla on Tuesday keeping judicial work closed. Amidst the tussle between the police and the advocates during the opening of the jam, the police had started lathicharge to open the jam.
