Mukul Rohatgi declines the Union Government to be Attorney General

While telling a Legal News Portal, Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi stated that he has declined to accept the offer of the Central Government to become the next Attorney General of India.

Rohatgi told the news portal that "I had given second thoughts".

It was rolled out earlier that Rohatgi had accepted the offer of the Central Government for the post and he was to resume the office of AG from 01 October, 2022 after the extension period of present Attorney General KK Venugopal is coming to an end. 

Rohatgi served as Attorney General of India under the present Modi Government from 2014 to 2017 for a period of three years.
