Haryana District Court Convicts Former Wrestling Coach for Murder of Six, Including Toddler

The district court in Haryana has handed down convictions for the former wrestling coach, holding them accountable for the murder of six individuals, including a couple and their four-year-old son, in February 2021.

On Monday, Additional District and Sessions Judge Gagan Geet Kaur pronounced Sukhvinder guilty of murder, attempted murder, and other charges under the Indian Penal Code, along with violations of the Arms Act.

The court is scheduled to announce the sentencing for the case on Wednesday.

On February 12, 2021, Sukhvinder, a resident of Barauda village in Sonepat district, committed the heinous act of shooting and killing "Manoj Malik, his wife Sakshi Malik, and their son Sartaj," as well as wrestling coaches Satish Kumar and Pardeep Malik, along with wrestler Pooja. Additionally, another individual named Amarjeet sustained injuries during the incident.

The tragic incident occurred at a wrestling venue adjacent to a private college in Rohtak. According to the police, Sukhvinder allegedly committed the crime after his services were terminated due to complaints lodged against him.
